"Language, Truth and Logic"is the first book in Chinese logic. The master copy is the lecture used by University of Coimbra---"Dialectics of Aristotle"(Commentarii Collegii Conimbricensis Societatis Jesv, in Universam Dialecticam Aristotelis Stagiritae). The notes is used by Fu Fanji in the University of Coimbra when training. In this book,the author described all the books on the logic wrote by Aristotle.And this book was published in 1611 in Cologne, Germany for the first time.In 1931,Mr. Xu Zongze when compilated "the abstract of translation of Jesuits during the Ming and Qing",found master copy used by Li Zhizao and Fu Fanji in the North Hall Library of Peking which then was classified as the 1365th in "North Hall Library of Latin book titles."Language, Truth and Logic",a famous book translated, published and distributed over 300 years ago ever had exerted a critical influence on the logical development of ideas in China.It is a translation of Aristotle's logic and a result of scholasticism After transformation of the Aristotelian philosophy.Though there are some differences between the book and Aristotle's original ideas, it is based on the philosophy of Aristotle. Especially for Chinese traditional thinking,it is a totally heterogenous ideology.The translation of the book made the Chinese scholars to understand the specific content of Western logic's method of cognition.
