Enhancing positioning accuracy and improving the user experience are the requirements of current mainstream navigation services, and also the essential technology of extending navigation services to the field of various consumer electronics products. The design of high-precision navigation and positioning receiver is one of trends of navigation and positioning system, and now becomes one of the key and hot issues in the field of navigation and positioning research.Based on the existing research results, this paper presents new constellation selection algorithms, completes receiver software design and code implementation. Its main works is included as the following:(1)This paper develops the signal source which is the debugging requirements for navigation and positioning receiver. The design and implementation of DSP software, completion of the input of the navigation message, machine condition monitoring, navigation signal parameters setting as well as PC-serial communication functions are briefly introduced in this paper.(2) In this paper, the principle of implementation of the receiver location computation is analysed, and the PVT (position, velocity and time) computation algorithm based on the Kalman filtering method and the PVT computation algorithm based on least square method are discussed , simulated and comparatively analysised. The results showed that the accuracy of the algorithm based on the Kalman filtering method is higher.(3) Based on the research and analysis at the traditional constellation selection algorithm, this paper presents a new constellation selection algorithm. The simulation results indicate that the new algorithm satisfies the requirements of real time processing and does not lose the positioning accuracy.(4) This paper studies the constellation selection algorithm for Multi-Modal satellite navigation and positioning system, and presents a new constellation selection algorithm which based on weighted GDOP (Geometric Dilution Of Precision). This algorithm can be used for not only constellation selection in Multi-Modal system, but also constellation selection in single modal system to improve the positioning accuracy of receiver.In addition, this paper completes the design of receiver DSP software and implementation of code, and analysis of the resource consumption of software.
