The Karst water system is complicated and changeable under the restrictions of the carbonate terrane and karst topography.Although the water storage is abundant,the distribution of water resource in this region is extremely asymmetrical.The lack of surface water has caused many problems of water using from daily life to commercial and industrial production.However,the traditional geological exploration can't solve the water shortage quickly and efficiently as the complex of the terrain and geological structure in these areas.For the sake of promoting the region's socio-economic stability and sustainable development,it is significant to find some new approaches by using remote sensing to explore underground water resources in karst mountain areas rapidly and effectively.Based on the spectra mechanism and information characteristic of ETM multispectral remote sensing band,the remote sensing information was extracted to see the abnormity of researching shallow groundwater,combining with the information of hydrological geology and the hydrological geology character of enrichment karst water,and analyzing the enriched water landforms,stratum and structure which influence the distribution and form of underground river,spring points and enriched water segments.Confirm the direction to find water in the karstr mountain areas through analyzing the background of remote sensing hydrological geology.After investigation,it has been confirmed that the level dam at the bottom of karst basin,karst depression,and river valley are conducive to store karst water-rich deposit;.In T2ga,T2gc,T2gd,Tja aquifer,the pattern of karst on earth's surface, such as depression,funnel,aven,scuttle,doline,and system of underground cave are developed,they are favourable to enrich water.The karst groundwater may be found at these areas:the toward water side of fracture which stores water,as well as its influential zone,the fracture zone and its influential zone,the center and plunging side of fold which stores water.Finally,the paper proposed several different suggestions of developing measure and principles to follow,to the four types of ground water source regions of Duoyi river drainage area,which are enriched water segments,underground river,karst river and land spring in the karst mountainous areas.
