This thesis contributes to the theory and applications of storage-usage reliability model in the storage reliability. The reliability theory and statistical inference for this kind of model are studied.Specifically, we study the storage-usage model in some details: storage-usage modeling, parameter estimation and prediction.Many high-technological products especially their components are subjected to a long period of storage before they are put into use. Usually, the use of them means the occurrence of some emergent events that people have made efforts to avoid. How long it can be used after a certain time of storage? How much the reliability level is after a certain time of storage and usage? Whether the usage lifetime is longer or not than the mission time? They are the important questions in the storage reliability research. In chapter 3, base on [43] and the reliability engineering background knowledge, a specific storage-usage model is given. And the corresponding statistical inference is given also.During the storage period, we often power on to know the product is good or not, that is inspection which can be regarded as usage, a short time usage. Hence, the storage-inspection model is a kind of storage-usage model. In chapter 4, a storage-inspection model which considering the inspection influence, a storage-inspection model which considering the inspection influence and inspection time are considered. And the corresponding parameter estimation is given also.
