We all know that petroleum resource becomes the most vital energy resource in the world today and petroleum's detection plays an important role in petroleum exploitation. After 70 years' development, electric logging, as one of the most popular well-logging approaches, has become an independent subject. Nowadays, only some famous oil companies of the USA and Russia in the world own commercial induction apparatus and explanation materials. Designing and developing induction well-logging apparatus with independent intellectual property is an urgent affair. In order to change this situation, COSL (Chinese Oilfield Services Limited) and UESTC (University of Electronic Science and Technology of China) began to work together to develop an original new induction logging apparatus named APIL (Array Phase Induction Logging) which has independent intellectual property rights.This dissertation mainly expatiates on the design of the transmitter of APIL. The transmitter consists of transmission coil antenna, power coupling and transistor amplifiers of type C and type A. The 12.8MHz reference clock from the receiver of APIL is used to generate 5 clock signals of different frequencies. Low pass filter transforms the pulse signal into a sine signal, and the transistor amplifiers amplify the low power sine signals. Power coupling transformer transfers the 2.5 watt power sine signal from amplifier to the coil antenna which transmits the high power sine signal of a certain frequency into the oil well.One of the main part of APIL transmitter is its coil antenna. Characters of the transmission and receiver coils are the foundation of APIL. They are affected by the conductive line radium, the distance between two circles of a coil, the distance between every two coils and by lots of other distributed parameters. Large numbers of testing and experiments had been done to get the accurate characteristic curve of coil antenna of transmission.APIL industrial experimental equipment was designed successfully after more than two years' hard work. In the testing well, the resistance curves which APIL measured are in good agreement with its real resistance curves.
