The schemes of classification and naming of igneous rocks, which are taken by mostgeologists in the world, are accepted in this paper. There are TAS diagram for volcanic, TAS diagram intrusive rocks, and pyroclastic rocks classification according to the size of pyroclastics. A new system of classification and naming for igneous rocks is developed in this paper.The main functions of system are:according to the input data of SiO2,Na2O,K2O and etc,then it will automatically draw the corresponding points on the TAS diagram and given their namings,which contains a single point and multitude points.The naming rock types are intrusive rocks, the volcanic rock and pyroclastic rocks.The function of ICFE (intercept colums from excel)system is to intercept part of the excel data according to the need.If we have the cheimical componets of rock,using the least squares method we can calculate the percentage of minerals.Here builts an environment to calculate the percentage of minerals,but its specific function need further developed.In the development of system, it solves the following technical difficulties: The drawing of Coordinate System in VB6.0,it uses the attribute of control and form,which contains the attribute of ScaleLeft, ScaleTop, ScaleWidth, ScaleHeight.Then it successfully draws the TAS diagrams; In the TAS diagram,how to automatic naming multitude points according to SiO2 and alkali silica;And the connection of VB and excel.Here uses Yanshan orogen as an example to verify the correct of the system.Then the results are consistent with the main causes of magma mixing in Yanshan orogen.
