With the development of the industry automatic technology, modern companies must exploit products with the attributes of high quality, low cost and fast delivery to survive competitions. In order to achieve this purpose, the computer aided design (CAD) technology is applied in the product cycle. Recently, computational electromagnetics made and is still making substantial progress. Among all the methods, the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method attracts more and more attention because of its features and advantages. Lots of electromagnetic CAD software based on FDTD is coming forth and widely applied in the industry design in electromagnetic domain.In this thesis, firstly, we summarize the theory of the CAD system and show that it plays an important role in the industry product design and manufacture. And we summarize the related technologies of the electromagnetic structure simulation CAD software. Then we rough comparison and analysis of the popular FDTD software and show the meaning of this thesis. Secondly, we present the theories and functions of all the electromagnetic structure simulation CAD software modules. Thirdly, we show a design of the electromagnetic structure simulation CAD software which was completed during the thesis work and the specific designs of several software main modules, including software interface, geometry model data structure, b-rep model data structures, CSG algorithm and geometry model visualization system base on OpenGL. Finally, the whole work of this thesis is concluded.
