The multi-source geographic information is already widely applied in cartography and map revision, recognition and monitoring of military objects, agricultural statistics, forestry surveying, land utilization, city planning and expansion monitoring, and other fields. In most geographic information systems, geometry rectification is one of the important matters to multi-source geographic information fusion accessorily. The methods of using Triangulation Irregular Network (TIN) to implement the digital images partitioned geometry rectification is mainly researched, and the main work and new points in this papers are presented as following:1. It is implemented various methods of selecting Ground Control Point (GCP) and respectively summarized their specialties and the conditions to use for the multi-source geographic information.2. Summarizing all kinds of geometry rectification models and implemented unitary polynomial rectification.3. Based on the theory of partitioned rectification, TIN partitioned rectification is designed and implemented, and then the precise geometry rectification of digital image is accomplished.4. Considering the fact of being hard to evaluate the geometry rectification precision, the geometry rectification precision can be visualized using the method of overlaying the result and the reference data.5. Using the existing program frame and based on gdal dynamic link libraries, in this papers it is compiled the code of geometry rectification module in the multi-source geographic information.The technique above is fulfilled in the "National 863 master technique of spatial information processing platform", by a large number of experiments, precise geometry rectification module in the multi-source geographic information system based on gdal dynamic link library is proved to bring satisfying results.
