The Application Of Database Technology In The Mineral Digital Museum

Digital museum is an information resource system based on information and network technology. It has been used in all kinds of museum now and it will be more sweepingly used in the future. The construction of digital library brings a profound revolution to the traditional museum. The digital museum can supply knowledge and individuation of information service and it's information services enlarge and optimize the services mode of the traditional museum. In our country not only the research and construction of digital museum is later than the developed country but also museum resource occupied for single people is seriously scare though the digital museum is developing fast in recent years, so it is very important and necessary to build our digital museum.With the development of information technology, digitally rebuilding college museum system has quite important meanings for sharing and protecting rich museum resource.Mineral digital museum based on the plenty of specimens and making best use of the advantage of human resource in the university and the production in it's subject is people oriented and it's purpose is to actualize resource sharing and to promote the teaching and research in the university and the quality education for all people. The major function of the mineral digital museum is the capture, storage, maintenance, retrieval, search and distribution of information, and its relevant right management. The construction of network system is the prerequisite of mineral digital museum. In this thesis, we create the web station that provides information and query function as the cut-in point of building mineral digital museum. By adopting Browser/Server and Client/Server structure, Analyzing the demand of mineral digital museum in detail, the thesis put forward the system function design. After analyzing the system flow, protract the digital flow drawing, simultaneously carve up several subsystems and implement the function.Using the SQL Server database as the back platform of this system and putting forward several countermeasures to insure the security of the database, it is effective to guarantee the integrality and valid of the data and to enhance the security of thissystem. I adopt ASP technology as front platform. This makes the need of the user become the core of the function of retrieval and makes the system convenient to use. The design of the page is succinct, stressing the function. This design way increases the practicability.
