This text constructs an assimilation system with MITgcm model and optimal interpolation method to verify with ocean temperature data around the equator in Tropic Ocean. The context of the text includes three aspects:First, it introduces the basic dynamics equations, methods of difference and code structure. It also simply introduces the meaning and necessity of assimilation and the evolution of assimilation methods. The basic theory and it's superiority of optimal interpolation method are explained emphatically.Second, some methods are exploited in the OI to improve the final result, such as SVD, stepwise interpolation , the upswing of relativity model. An assimilation experimentation using observation data around the fixed port in the equator of the Pacific Ocean and the result of model is done. It falls out that the assimilation system can reflect the distribution of the ocean temperature better and can be used to forecast effectively.Third, the text indicates some aspects that can be improved on continually.
