In this thesis, by means of model experiment of potential fault, the author quantitatively study the displacement relations between underlying bedrock and overlying soil layer caused by faulting in bedrock. Furthermore, reasonable suggestions and measures for evaluation of potential fault are put forth.Firstly, research process is analysis and exist question is put forward by analyzing the main influencing factors of covering rupturing which include of basement fault property and earthquake intensity and the effect of property and thickness of covering .The paper vs researching goal and the schema of experiment is determined.Secondly, by model experiment, the mechanism of overlying soil-layer rupturing caused by underlying fault slipping and the stretching feature of soil-layer cracks are studied.Thirdly, the relationship between soil absorbed quantity and density is set up in the condition of same thickness and bedrock displacement, that is:Fourthly, ground rupturing effect are index by determined the evaluate model of groundrupturing, that is: Ground surface dislocation: U = If U > 0 , it indicated that the fault has stretched to ground surface and the height of ruptureis - U ,the affect width of ground dislocalion If U < 0, it indicated that the fault hasn't stretched to ground surface ,and the depth of the faultFifthly, the author evaluates the ground surface dislocation caused by two Holocene faults in the site of the oil pipe from Kuerle to Shanshan by two calculation method, and match the calculation result to test the paper's method. Finally, the reasonable suggestion and measure for the building and constructing in active fault zone are given.
