Camellia plants have very important ornamental and economic value and most of them are special in China .We classified 29 species of the Sect Camellia (L) Dyer on the molecule level by the way of RAPD. We extract the leave DNA using CTAB method and analysis them with Du-640 spectrum machine .They are amplified by Taq polymerase and then the products of them are examined after electrophoresis .The phonogram of the 29 species is drawn according to the analyzing result Though the experiment ,we determing that the best reacting system is :DNA template 5i4,l0xBuffer 2.014,2mM dNTPs 21.Ll,2SmM Mgcl2tl.814,lOmM primer I .2p1,5U Taq O.214,ddH2O 7.8P4,total reacting system is 20P.l.The selected PCR program is 940C 7min,one cycle;940C 45s, 360C 45s, 720C 90s, 36cycle; 940C 8mm, one cycle ;40C hold.23 primers are selected from 310 10-mer primers. They are available for Camellia plants?analysis .171 bands are amplified which contain 77.3% special polymorphism RAPD loci .The genetic data are anal sized by means of 0-1 calculating program .The results show that the genetic diversity of Sect Camellia (L) Dyer is high .The genetic distance between C.glabripetuluta and C.saluenensi is nearest. C.crassissima, C.liberisamina , C.edithae , C.subintegra , C.chekiangoleosa, C.longicaudata ,C.lucidissima belong to one category ; C.lanosituba, .heyhangeusis, C.mairei , C.polyodonta , C.longistyla , C.villosa belong to one categoryC.glabriperulata , C.saluenensis , C.tuanganica , C.reticulata , C.cryptonewa C.pitardii , C.phellocapse , C.trichosperma , C.magniflora, C.grandflora belong to one category . C.glabripeterula can be regard as one category.
