Gml-based Web Gis Theory And Application

Web GIS is one of the primary research directions of Geographic Information System. Running on Internet and using the technologies of net, It make GIS a system which can provide GIS' operation functions and online queries according to information releasing and data sharing. Because setting down the standard of Web GIS get behind the development of Web GIS, there are many different Web GIS schemes. Though these schemes have much effect, many unsolvable problems also have occurred, especially in different operation system and data sharing. Based on Open GIS Consortium's OGIS criterion and computer technologies' development, this paper study the developing model of Web GIS development deeply, then bring forward the model of GWebGIS. The paper focus on the following issues:1. Geographic Information System and Computer Network' development make Web GIS be one of the primary research directions of GIS.OGIS established by OGC becomes Web GIS' development standard;2. After Studying the model of existing Web GIS, this paper bring forward a principal,which must be ordered by GWebGIS, composed by independence Operation System, data integration, distributing parallel computing and distributing object and so on;3. Introduce CORBA and GML and VML, as such new technologies used by GWebGIS. then expatiate howt to use these new technologies.4. According to soft project thought,design GWebGIS structure.
