Horizontal radial drilling is a new and effective completion method. Not only it can increase oil and gas production through the horizontal radial drilling from the vertical borehole , but also relieve oil reservoir blockage and protect oil reservoir. The technology of horizontal radial drilling plays an important role in the old well perforation adding operation and serves the difficult problems of exploiting remaining oil. The traditional horizontal radial perforation drilling technology and hydraulic technology have defects of long construction duration, high cost and low controllability. The subject team and Daqing Oilfield Production Engineering Research Institute jointly proposed a new electronic control type of deep penetrating horizontal drilling machine, whose measurement and control devices based on MSP430 MCU as the core. The feasibility validation and study of reliability of key technologies have been completed indoors. However, the working environment adaptability and function extensions of the underground devices need to further improve.The project team designed a suite of horizontal drilling underground measurement and control device based on ATmega16L MCU. The device's drilling displacement control, communication speed and environmental adaptation have been optimized. The location of horizontal drilling machine and the azimuth measurement and control function have been designed. The main work is as follows:1. Analyzing horizontal drilling machine functions, operating conditions and completing appropriate selection of MCU and other hardware.2. Designing a suite of horizontal drilling underground measurement and control device based on ATmega16L MCU, completing the software design and debugging the program.3. Horizontal drilling feed rate and the communication baud rate etc. these key experimental parameters were studied and the corresponding qualification was educed. 4. Designing the location of horizontal drilling machine and azimuth measurement and control.5. Designing the measurement and control software of the host computer of the horizontal drilling machine.
