With the great development of science technology, such as embedding Technology, network technology and wireless communication technology, mobile GIS has become the hot research in the field of GIS. Based on embedding technology, mobile GIS which integrates mobile communication technology, navigating and positioning technology and internet technology is a comprehensive GIS. The advantage of it is that it can provide the customers the quick and convenient information service no matter where you are and when it is. However, in the information explosion time, how to store and apply the huge spatial data is the most difficult problem to the mobile GIS. The development of network storing technology offers us a feasible solution .The essay based on it puts forward the mobile GIS structure based on distributed storage which involves mobile terminal research, network Storage, wireless communication, software explanting, GPS etc. My main work includes:1. The distributed environment for geospatial data organization and management. pre-processing and dividing spatial data by index, implementing the unity of multi-resourced data by the transformation of coordinates, and reducing date's redundancy using the technology of data compress.Implementing the distributed store aiming at the spatial data and simultaneously accessing data and backup mechanism.2. Researching on the strategy of network transportation. First, analyzing the difference between wireless and cable network, researching the strategy network transportation of mobile GIS based on distributed store. And then, proposing the mobile GIS adapting strategy, continuous transportation from break point and buffer storage mechanism to enhance the efficiency of network transportation.3. Design and Development the structure of the Mobile GIS. First, we program the mobile GIS structure and functional module and confirm the research content and aim. Second, in the precondition of mobile GIS exploiting principle, we realize the exploitation of intelligential mobile terminal basing on windows CE and android mobile platform do an experiment on UMPC device and implement some functions.
