Mao Zedong' Thought On Socialist Economy

Socialist economic thought is an important part in Mao Zedong system of scientific thought, integrate of theory of all Marxism economics and practice of building Chinese socialism and outcome of China's theoretical development of Marxism. However, same as any thought theory, Mao Zedong economic thought has limitation inevitably due to restrict of objective social history and subjective cognition of ideologist, especially rush for quick result in construction of economy, pursuit of single state ownership, and defend planned economy tenaciously etc. It illustrates Mao Zedong economic thought belongs to traditional socialism theory modal and Mao Zedong had not made basic theory questions of socialism of "What is socialism" and of "How to construct socialism". Mao Zedong socialism economic thought has ample content, mainly including using the experience of the Soviet Union and all positive factors at home and abroad to explore characteristic socialist road of China; putting forward thought of coexistence of state-operated economy and private economy and using capitalism to build socialism economic construction; exploring many fruitful theories in system of socialism economic management, such as thought that dealing with relation between central and local governments, state and enterprise to enable local government and enterprise operate independently; thought of respecting value principles and developing commodity production; basic management principle of "two participation, one change and three combination". Mao Zedong put forward taking account of benefit of state, group and individual in system of distribution. These thoughts are scientific summaries of Chinese socialism economic construction by Mao Zedong and theoretical basis & source of thought for forming theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics by Communist Party of China after the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee. From then on, going through three generations of central collective leadership of Deng Xiaoping, Zemin Jiang and Jintao Hu, theoretical system of Chinese socialism is formed based on inherit and development of Mao Zedong economic thought with keeping innovation and advancing with times.
