In the knowledge economy times, the knowledge employee's core function is becoming more important day by day, and in the people-oriented economy management activities, how enterprise managers adopt pertinent management strategies according to the new characteristics of knowledge employees has become a new topic of human resources management research and realistic work. In 1986, Eisenberger initiated the concept called "perceived organizational support(POS)". This theory illustrates a new "employees and organization relationship"(EOR) from perspective of social exchange, and provides a new way to the research of EOR.Under this background, on the bases of analyzing and summarizing the existing research achievement of POS at home and abroad, knowledge workers from IT enterprises in China are selected as the respondents for the empirical study which employes questionnaire method to learn the POS level of IT erterprises in China and to explore the dynamic relationships between POS and job performance. From this study, this research try to introduce some instructional suggestions for human resource management of enterprises.By using the questionnaire of POS for Chinese employees made by Ling Wenquan, and task performance and contextual performance scales that are often used, we make an investigation on knowledge employees of IT enterprises in many cities such as CD, DL, BJ and so on, and the data was analyzed by "The Statistical Package for Social Sciences(SPSS)".After examining the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, and firstly acordding to the result of description analysis, it became deeper to understand the knowledge employees' current POS level and present work performance condition in IT enterprises. Then, by using the independent-samples T test and one-way ANOVA test, we learned that POS and its each dimensions, task performance and contextual performance is significantly different among the employees' gender age, the level of education, and the length of service in the company. Finally, the results of pearson correlation and linear regerssion analysis between POS and Job Performance show that the IT knowledge workers'POS is significantly positive correlated with task performance and contextual perfoermance, and it has significant prediction ability to Job performance, but the effect of task performance by POS is more than the effect of contextual performance. The result of the study also approves that the more support and care perceived by the employees from the organization, the more loyalty they show to the company, and the more value created to improve the individual and the whole organizational performance.According to the study, some suggestions were given about how to improve the IT knowledge worker's POS from the perspective of human resource management, which will be beneficial for both the theory and practice of management in IT enterprises. It reflected the theoretical contribution and realistic significance of this study.
