MES Data Acquisition Research Based On The Technology Of RFID And ZigBee

Improving the informatization management level of the manufacturing enterprise can provide the manager with abundant information service and decision support better, and promote the competition ability of the enterprise in complex operation environment. The various information systems such as Process Control System (PCS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) have been widely used in the management practice of the manufacturing enterprises. But ERP which belongs to the planning level can not obtain the specific real-time data. Meanwhile, PCS which belongs to the controlling level can not upload the data of production process quickly and efficiently, so the two levels are separated from each other. Manufacturing Execution System (MES) builds a bridge between the two levels, which achieves the communication of the production information. This thesis carries the research on the data transfer between the two levels with the emphasis on the data acquisition function of MES.Firstly, the thesis introduces the different kinds of definition and function model of MES. Especially it describes the importance of data acquisition function.Secondly, the thesis analyzes the characteristics and advantages of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology and ZigBee technology, and illustrates the advantages that put the technology of RFID and ZigBee into the data acquisition function.Thirdly, the thesis divides the data acquisition function specifically. And as to the discrete manufacturing enterprise of our country, differentiating the data acquisition based on bar code technology, RFID technology and RFID&ZigBee technology, illustrates the advantages of the data acquisition function on the basis of RFID&ZigBee technology.Finally, the thesis taking the data acquisition equipment of Wuhan Shangji Electronic Ltd. which is adopted in a garment company of Tianjin as an example to demonstrate that RFID&ZigBee technology can achieve the task of MES data acquisition very well, so it is worthwhile to pay more attention to study the issue.
