Research On The Impact Of Social Capital To Innovation Network

The research of The Enterprise Innovation Network(EIN)has been most concerned by the experts who were in research field of the enterprise innovation home and abroad. As the activity of innovation is inseparable from social interaction between these enterprises, the social capital has become the effective mechanism of the EIN and a new source of the innovation. A new perspective of EIN research was provided by the introduction of social capital theory.The impact of social capital on EIN was been systematically analyzed from the three dimensions of social capital. Then in this paper, social network analysis tools were applied in the case research, so fundamental research and case research were both used.According to the achievement of the fundamental research, and with the aid of the society network analysis method and sociological statistics software Ucinet, the present situation of EIN that composed with software development enterprise in High-tech Industrial Development Zones of Taiyuan was analyzed, then the solutions were proposed.The conclusions were drawn as following:The moderate network density is advantageous in improving innovation power of the EIN; The moderate centrality of network is beneficial on exploring the innovation potential. The balance of strong ties and weak ties is conducive to discovery and use innovative opportunities in EIN. Relational dimension of social capital is conducive to strengthening knowledge transfer and spread, and it is the important mechanism to regulate the EIN. The influence that relational dimension of social capital has on EIN was manifested in several aspects. It is conducive to encouraging innovation behavior of enterprises and dissemination of invisible knowledge in EIN.The main innovations of this paper were made as following:Firstly, the new angle of social capital was used to study the EIN. The effect of three dimensions of social capital on EIN was emphatically discussed.Secondly, from the aspect of a new research method, the social network analysis tools were applied in the case research of EIN.Innovation is the driving force for network development, network-based innovation has gradually become the forefront of academic research. EIN was discussed with the perspective of social capital, social capital has been considered a resources in this paper. The combination of social capital and EIN is advantageous to improve the overall innovation capability of the network.
