Evaluation On Competitiveness Of Equipment Manufacturing In Hefei And Its Countermeasures

Equipment Manufacturing is one of the strategic pillar industries in the national economy whose level of development and competitiveness concern the stability and development of China's economy, affect the national competitiveness and determine our place of international division of labor in the process of economic globalization. Hefei locates in the Central China and is one of China's production bases of Equipment Manufacturing. Advancing the industry energetically favors the local economic development in Hefei, which also plays a key role in realization of the"Industry supports the City"strategy and the prerequisite of the rising of Hefei among those Central Cities. Therefore, the Study on Competitiveness of Equipment Manufacturing in Hefei has immediate significance to the development the city Hefei.This paper is based on the research of Bidding Project of Bureau of Statistics of Hefei, which named Exploitation and Utilization of the Data from The Second National Economic Census. Through consulting and summarizing many works both at home and abroad on the study of industry competitiveness, we can build up the evaluation model of Equipment Manufacturing combing of the practical situation in Hefei. And we can study the general and departmental competitiveness of Equipment Manufacturing from these following three aspects respectively. They are industry scale, economic benefit of the industry and development potential of the industry.This work is based on the data of the Economic Census. First, comparing different situations of the Competitiveness of Equipment Manufacturing in Hefei during the first and second National Economic Census and perform the longitudinal data analysis. Then, we can apply horizontal analysis to compare different competitiveness among all departments inside the Equipment Manufacturing industry according to the National Standard Industrial Classification. And we can find out both the strong and weak industries with the help of those evaluation results. It has some directive significance to positioning industry.The Strategies of Increasing the Competitiveness of Equipment Manufacturing could be came up with after comprehensive analysis. They include the continued expending of industry scale, the quality of the increasing economy, the enhancement of independent innovation ability, the promotion of industrial clustering, the impelling of informationalization of industry together with the support from government. They also relate to Macro and Middle view of instructions and regulation and control of government.
