E-commerce platform has an important position in e-commerce system, the platform design is good or not and the website promotion is successful or not will be directly related to the trading volume of the platform.The ensuing question is how to let numerous forest products companies and consumers find the required trading platform in a number of e-commerce platform.Therefore,the key to success of platform is the promotional strategies of forest products e-commerce platform for their own. Website promotion is one of the basic functions of Internet marketing, in terms of the forest products e-commerce platform,the perfect promotional strategies will not only help to improve the industry awareness, enhance the market competitiveness of the platform, but also to speed up the trading speed of the forest products within the platform,and then provide the vast business opportunities for forest products companies and consumers.This paper first explored and researched related theory about e-commerce, Internet marketing and website promotion, and defined related concepts. Using SWOT analysis matrix form and online surveys, analyzed the market environment and promotion status of forest products e-commerce platform to explore the problems in the platform promotion. Simultaneously, use qualitative analysis and comparison analysis to find out the influencing factor and the unique feature of the promotion of forest products e-commerce platform.According to the unique nature of forest products, developped the corresponding promotion strategies of forest products e-commerce platform from both supply and demand aspects to achieve the target.Through planning the internal and external resources of forest products e-commerce platform, and then gradually implemented promotion strategies in accordance with established procedure, evaluateing the implementation effect of promotional strategies, identifying the problems exposed during implementation process of promotional strategies. Finally, based on the feedback effect of evaluation,make appropriate adjustments on the forest products e-commerce platform,re-rationalizeing the Internal environment of the platform,such as target, technology and management etc.to ensure that the platform promotion strategies continue effectively for a long time.
