With the development of management practice, performance appraisal is the core of part of the business management.It is the" engine" to push corporate development. An effective performance appraisal system can decompose the strategies of the company by levels,passing them every staff starting from the top.So as the staff can have a deep understanding of the relation of his post with the strategies of the company. Without proper appraisal,we can not make sure whether the direction of employees efforts is the same as the business goal.Therefore,establishing and fulfilling the performance appraisal system should be the sufficient and necessary choice for modern company.At first,this thesis makes an introduction to the meaning of the topic selecting, the background, the content as well as the methods of the study. And then it starts from the basic design of Performance Appraisal system,making an analysis on the problems existing in the Performance Appraisal of Rong Yuan Hotel.In the second place, based on the perfection of job analysis and certain procedures, the author makes a design of the system.There is first a selection of methods for Rong Yuan Hotel. In regard of the practical situation of the hotel, the author adopts the core performance appraisal methods:KPI method, and then makes an elaboration on how to design the index of performance appraisal.Firstly, it needs to fix KPI on the enterprise level,and then to stepwise divide it in order to get KPI on department level and individual level.Finally, by combining the position instruction,the individual performance appraisal index can be drawn.The part of work performance adopts KPI, focusing on the quantitative indicators while the work ethic and capacity focus on the descriptive indicators.At last, discuss the selection of the judge subjects, the confirmation of performance appraisal content,the design of the performance appraisal process,the confirmation of performance appraisal period,the confirmation of index proportion,the decision of performance standard and the confirmation of performance appraisal examine fashion.Performance appraisal method adopted is as follows.Colleagues,superiors,subordinates,customers and staff of other departments act as the appraisers and assess the work performance of staff. Appraisal period changes as the staff differ. The result of the examination can serve as the basis for the improvement of work performance of the staff and the development of staff themselves.In order to ensure the new performance appraisal system can be in motion effectively, this article give the support and the guarantee from the system construction, corporate culture,organization transform as well as staff training.
