A Research Of Telecome Operators' Procurement Informationization Model Based On The Ambidexterity Theory

After the re-formation in 2008, China's telecommunications industry faces a new competition environment. At the same time, the development of mobile Internet becomes a new challenge and chance for the domestic telecom operators. The traditional market has became more and more saturated, in order to cope with the stress of competition the operator has to find new source of profit. Centralized procurement strategy makes the procurement center as a new profit source.As an important part of the complex supply chain management, the complex supply partnership is a new challenge for the procurement now. With the rapid development of information technology and economic globalization process, the application of information technology can greatly enhance the work efficiency. Informationization will become an inevitable choice for procurement management. However, through a survey of domestic telecom operators, the paper find that centralized procurement can bring the advantage of savings but show some limitationsAs a key activity in a company, procurement plays an important role for the enhancement of organizational capabilities. In this paper, a new telecom enterprise information model based on the ambidexterity theory was proposed. In chapter five, we take a telecom operator company as case for empirical study to verify the feasibility of the model.
