Research On The Promotion Of Enterprises' Competitiveness Based On Information Technology

With the continuous development of science and technology, as one element of the social productive forces,information technology has greatly affected the way of living. Information technology has had a profound impact on the development of the world economy, and changed the traditional pattern of competition, expanded the scope of competition. The competitive environment become more and more complex and competition is increasingly fierce. The companies hope to effectively address the difficulties by investment in information technology, while enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises. However, the large-scale information technology investment was not performed as expected, which failed to create sustainable competitive advantage for enterprises. Because of the information technology "productivity paradox", the effects that information technology brings for the competitiveness has been questioned by experts and scholars. However, the "Information Technology Capability," provides a new platform of research for the relationship between the study of information technology and the competitiveness of enterprises.From the perspective of the resource-based view, this paper analyzed the role of information technology on the enterprises standing on the strategic of business enterprise, and the relationship among the resources associated with the enterprise (organization), human resources and intangible resources. Secondly, analyzed the formation of information technology capabilities, and do research on dynamic matching process of business strategy and information technology strategy based on information technology capability. Then study on the mechanism of how information technology enhances the competitiveness of enterprises by analyzing how information technology capabilities create competitive advantage. Finally, used the evaluation model of information technology capabilities to evaluate the status of enterprises'information technology capabilities, and on this basis, proposed enterprise competitiveness enhance model based on information technology. This paper constructed the information technology and enterprise application interaction model according to the information technology business phase. From the perspective of the resource-based view, this paper treats information technology capabilities as one kind of special resource of the enterprises, which could bring corporate performance because it is hard to imitate and irreplaceable. And it will take a long time to upgrade and accumulate knowledge. Therefore, information technology capabilities can bring sustainable competitive advantage for enterprises and is an effective source of corporate competitiveness.
