| With the development of the scientific and technological revolution in the 21st century, the competition among countries has gradually turned out to be innovation-oriented economic strength competition. Innovation brought about by the introduction of new technology has become the main driving force of economic development. Patent is the most core and valuable part of a regional science and technology assets, and become the most important mark to describe the regional innovation ability and comprehensive strength. Patent innovation of regions of China refers to the regional innovation system which outcome performance is patents. Under the situation of the co-existence of high investment and high output in China, the research periods of the paper is 2000-2008 that time span of the modification of"patent laws". Basis on relevant data, the paper establishes a relevant evaluation analysis model to study the performance of the patent innovation of regions of China, and analysis the factors which affect the performance of the patent innovation of regions of China, and reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of China'patented innovations in this historical stage.Under the background that national patents strategy is vigorously promoted and intellectual property strategy is improved, and the regional innovation is strengthened, the changes trends of performance and the causes of this change are studied by using theoretical and empirical analysis means. In the course of the study, after calculating and analysising the changes trends of performance of the patent innovation of regions of China by using Malmquist index approch, paper analysises the the causes of this change by using panel data model. The main contents are as follows:(1) Based on the depth analysis of factors of evaluation of performance of the patent innovation of regions of China and the results of existing studies, the paper defines the conception of performance of the patent innovation, and designs a comprehensive evaluation index system of the efficiency of patent innovation. Through the depth analysis of performance evaluation methods, paper selectes the Malmquist index approach to study the performance of the patent innovation of regions of China.(2) based on analysising of the changes trends of performance of the patent innovation of regions of China by using Malmquist index approach, the paper studies the change of Technological advances causes , and the change of pure efficiency and the change of scale returns by using decomposition index of Malmquist index approach, and acquires the source of the changes trends.(3) After analysising the course of the changes trends of performance of the patent innovation of regions of China by using panel data model, the paper concludes that: although there is rising trend of performance of the patent innovation in every regions of China, there are deferent course of this trend.The paper tries to find the way to enhance the performance of the patent innovation of regions of China. |
