Research On The Value Creation Of Chengdu Shoe Industry Based On The Integration Of Industrial Chain

The shoe manufacture industry is a traditional industries at superiority in Chengdu. As"the city of Female shoes in China", Chengdu's output of female shoes is ranked third in the country. However, the pressure from both home and abroad and its own weakness are now restricting the upgrading and development of Chengdu footwear cluster. This is not only due to the particularity of shoe industry, but also a result of the initial position of Chengdu shoe industry in the global value chain——at the bottom of the shoes'value creation process. To achieve further development, Chengdu shoe industry must consolidate its existing strengths, rely on the domestic market demand to integrate and improve the whole industrial chain's value creation capacity.With the intense competition in the market and the continuous improvement of the industrial chain's strategic position, the modern enterprise's competition has been interpreted as the competition between the industrial chains which the company joins in. It nails down Chengdu shoe industry cluster's location in the global value chain and then points out its strength,weakness,opportunitity and threat in its development. This part is the preparation for next part.Second, this article proposes"the fish bone theory"as the value creation of shoe industry: on the one hand, extending the industrial chain and then holding the strategic part of the industrial chain; on the other hand, flattening the industry length and improving the efficiency of the cluster.On the basis of the preceding analysis, the fourth chapter points out the value creation way of Chengdu shoe industry, including reconstruction of the industrial chain, product integration, value integration and knowledge integration, and proposes that in order to maximize the industrial chain profit, it should construct the suitable benefit coordination mechanism. The benefit coordination mechanisms of Chengdu shoe industrial chain include the negotiation mechanism and pricing mechanism.In addition to the enterprise's own efforts, this paper finally proposes that the local government and profession association ought to take part in actively, thus trying to create, keep and capture value in the global value chain together.
