It's more fierce competition in this market. Enterprise need survival, it must keep optimize its operation system and lower cost to strengthen its competitiveness. Enterprise need advocate the lean manufacture operation, well arrange facility layout, eliminate waste, lower inventory to increase efficiency, then can get more profit. Facility layout is the essential part of operation for it can lead to nearly 10% to 30% cost down.A company locate in Shenzhen, it's a server manufactory base. Headquarter in US is aim to save cost, more and more orders have been transfer to china. But these NPI involve in different period, and layout and process just fully copy from other country. It cause work unit not centralize and material seems a little mess. A company space is full load and need optimize immediately to avoid huge invest of new factory.This thesis is utilizing industrial tools and lean theory, look into A company layout problem and study, optimize, re-layout. Firstly, Review and study A company's production mode and process, current layout, point out the problem it have. Secondly, study layout effect factor, then optimize its design, logistic system and process with operation research, lean production to fix layout base problem. Thirdly, utilize SLP theory study A company all work unit relation and systematically re-layout plan to get good result. Final, evaluate several proposal from weight-distant study and with weight-factor assessment tool to get final solution and follow it.Purpose of this thesis is study relative theory, industrial engineering and especial SLP theory to analyze and solve the A company facility layout problem to lower cost, optimize operation and get high production efficiency. |
