| Geological heritage recorded the history of the earth evolution. It is precious natural heritage endowed by the nature. Protecting geological heritage is a responsibility of human nature. The establishment of geopark provides a new way for the protection of geological heritage. China leads the word in the construction of geopark. By the end of 2009, China had established 182 national geoparks,22 of which joined in the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network. It proved that the establishment of national geopark plays an important role in protecting geological heritage, disseminating earth science, improving ecological environment, increasing employment opportunities and developing local economy. The purpose of national geopark is to protect the geological heritage and promote the sustainable development of society and economy. Tourism exploitation has become the main way to use geological heritage in national geoparks. However, not all of the national geoparks are suit for tourism exploitation. Inappropriate tourism exploitation was not conducive to the development of local economic, but also caused some damage to the geological heritage. Therefore, scientific decision-making of tourism exploitation has great significance in the construction of national geoparks. This paper selects 20 evaluation factors of five categories to established evaluation model for decision-making of tourism exploitation in national geopark by analytic hierarchy process. This paper also conducts the quantitative analysis and qualitative evaluation of decision-making of tourism exploitation in national geopark and takes Jinsixia national geopark in Shangnan Shaanxi and Nangongshan national geopark in Langao Shaanxi for example to analysis, which were established in August 2009. The study can provide scientific basis for decision-making of tourism exploitation in national geopark to promote the protection of geological heritage and the development of tourism and realize the sustainable development of society and economy. It also can provide reference for the establishment of national geopark. |
