The Positive Effects And Path Selection Of Japan-south Korea Free Trade Area Construction

With the rapid development of economic globalization today, economic regional integration based on geographical areas has been accelerating, which becomes a kind of usual and important feature of economic development in the 21st century. However, the economic and trade cooperation level of East Asia and even Southeast Asia has disadvantages when compared to Europe and North America for not bringing about benefits of completely free trade among the regions. In the past few years, in order to establish tripartite free trade zone, as major economies in East Asia, China, Japan and South Korea has been making unremitting efforts, achieved great progress and improved the welfare of the region. It is necessary to conduct a special study. Therefore, based on establishing the Sino-Japan-Korea Free Trade Area, this paper places the emphasis on the countermeasure analysis and recommendations, which has some theoretical value and worth practicing.This paper argues that through theoretical summary and analysis of objective reality, establishing a free trade zone among China, Japan and South Korea is feasible in form. In China, Japan and South Korea, the stronger economic dependence is, the closer the economic and trade cooperation becomes, so economic development of any part is inseparable from the other countries. The basic reason in establishing a free trade zone among China, Japan and South Korea is the market mechanism. It is the level of the economic development and the industrial structure in China, Japan and South Korea that promotes the establishment of a free trade area. To achieve a free trade zone based on the existing foundation and the results, it needs a strong central government intervention and active operations of China, Japan and South Korea, which ensures some rules that the construction of the free trade area and operation can follow. At the same time, non-governmental exchanges should be strengthened; let civil societies adjust the degree of political trust, trade disputes, speeding up the process of building a free trade zone. The author believes that through the joint efforts of China, Japan and South Korea, balancing the interests of the three parts as soon as possible, to sign a free trade agreement, the Sino-Japan-Korea Free Trade Area will be available in the second decade of the 21st century.This article is divided into five parts besides the introductory remarks. The second part introduces the theoretical basis and the condition research of the Sino-Japan-Korea Free Trade Area; the third part describes Sino-Japan-Korea Free Trade Area has a positive effect on the development of the three countries; the fourth part points out the main problems in building the Sino-Japan-Korea Free Trade Area; the fifth part puts forward the way to build the Sino-Japan-Korea Free Trade Area; finally it makes a summary, and makes some basic judgments about the establishment of the Sino-Japan-Korea Free Trade Area.. As for research methods, as a guide, the paper adheres to the fundamental principle of Marxism, based on the modern economic theory to make use of the world outlook and methodology of Dialectical Materialism and Historical Materialism, while using the standard analysis and the comparison analysis, it is to reflect status and objective problems in the economic and trade cooperation among China, Japan and South Korea comprehensively, objectively and factually, and propose some policy recommendations about the establishment of the Sino-Japan-Korea Free Trade Area.The principal innovation or feature of the paper is to mainly research the countermeasures that establishing the Sino-Japan-Korea Free Trade Area should adopt.
