The time of task estimated too long and project duration extended often appeared in schedule management. How to effectively manage the progress of the project has become a hot research. Applying Critical Chain Management theory to project schedule will solve the two problems a certain extent, but the research mostly focus on how to identification critical chain and set the buffer. How to eliminate the safe time is less researched.The article analyzes the disadvantages of traditional project schedule management systematically, and suggests applying Critical Chain to do project schedule management, in order to compensate shortcomings of traditional schedule management and improve efficiency and stability of project schedule planning. The article discusses detailedly on the problems such as clearing the safety time, finding critical chain and setting buffer. Basing on analyzing the uncertainty of Activity Duration, the article puts forward the most optimistic value method. In order to find the CC of the project, the article gives the methods:Ordered Pair Optimization and Grey Relational Analysis, under the single resource and multi-resources restraint. Meanwhile, this article puts out a new method to set buffer, which considers about the resources tense degree, work position and risk regulation factor. Through establishing the simulation model of Critical Chain schedule planning and traditional schedule planning, article compares the new period distribution and statistics of Critical Chain schedule planning with traditional method's distribution and statistics by making use of simulating software called crystal ball 2000 to do Monte Carlo simulation in Excel.Thesis example shows that the time elimination method the task of safe time, critical chain and buffer settings recognition method put forward by the thesis has high stability and feasibility, which can better guide the implementation of project schedule management. The result of article further enrich the theory of critical chain management system, having some theoretical and practical guide.
