An Empirical Research On The Relationship Between The Financial Structure And Economic Growth Of Gansu

Much effort has been made by foreign and domestic scholars on the research of the relationship between the financial structure and economic growth. Gansu, which lies in the western of China, is one of the developing regions in China because of its unbalanced regional financial structure. The thesis argues that all kind of factors should be coordinated and administrated for the qualitatively and quantitatively analyzing the relationship between the financial structure and economic growth of Gansu Province with the basic data and the newest research at home and abroad. The thesis adopts the methods of the literature research and positive analysis, and makes use of the Financial Interrelations Ratio Index (FIR), the Economic Change Index (the Growth Rate of GDP Per Capita, R) and the Proportion Index of the secondary and tertiary industry in GDP (θ) to evaluate the correlation degree between the financial structure and economic growth of Gansu; And with the linear regression analysis points out that the finances is the important component and driving force of the economic development of Gansu, and is the important channel of social employment. The thesis provides some expectation and suggestion from the views of optimizing financial structure and enhancing economic growth for the future development of the financial structure of Gansu.
