| In the post-industrial era, urban development gradually enters into a new stage, which bases on knowledge, innovation and intellectual resources. Innovative city has become a strategic choice for urban development. This paper used Singapore as a successful example of innovative city, examined its strategic approach to industrial development, analyzed Singapore's three major innovative industries:high-tech manufacturing, knowledge-intensive services and creative industries, analyzed the structure of industry sectors in Singapore and its economic impact, used historical analysis, input-output method and ratio analysis, studied the economic contribution of innovative industries in Singapore, explored the strategy development path of innovative industries for our innovative city-building inspiration. Conclusions of the study include:(1) The value nature of industry development reflected in its evolution along the life cycle curve, urban industries gather, integrate and innovate in time and space, which is reflected in three aspects:High-technology manufacturing, knowledge-intensive services and creative content industry;(2) Singapore confirms the traditional theory, which showed a high degree of service-oriented industrial structure. High-technology manufacturing, knowledge-intensive services and creative content industry have a significant economic effect;(3) Innovative city's industrial development need mature environment, continuous innovation in the manufacturing sector, and industry convergence. |
