The Research Of Correlation Between Industrial Structure And Employment Of Migrant Workers Of Sichuan Province

With the contradictions between current economic situation and employment situation of migrant workers as the background, this paper analyzes the relationship between employment of migrant workers and industrial structure from macro perspective based on the statistical analysis of Sichuan area, and puts forward policy recommendations to solve the employment problems of migrant workers from the aspect of industrial structure adjustment.This article adopted a variety of research methods, including the literature analysis in the thesis preface;the level analysis in setting the indicators and variables,and the detailed analysis patterns in the construction of hypothesis in the second part; the descriptive analysis in the third part;the combined application of descriptive analysis,variance analysis and correlation analysis while analyzing the specific relationship between industrial structure and employment of migrant workers in the fourth part.Studies have shown that the trend line between the industrial structure and employment of migrant workers is consistent with economic development law, the primary industry has crowding-out effect on the employment of migrant workers, labor-intensive industries in the second industry have strong absorptive capacity of the employment of migrant workers,the tertiary industry has great potential absorption capacity of employment of migrant workers,but lacks of development. Then it analyzed the reasons of the characteristics presented above, and found that technological progress, "industrial province"strategy, post-disaster reconstruction,the household registration system and low quality of migrant workers are important reasons.Finally,based on the analysis results of relationship between the industrial structure and the employment of migrant workers, article made relevant policy recommendations to promote the coordinated development between the industrial structure and the employment of migrant workers.From the aspect of industrial structure adjustment, three measures can be taken.First, improve scientific and technological content of the primary industry to promote the transfer of rural labor. Second,continue to promote the development of labor-intensive manufacturing,and maintain high employment absorptive capacity of the secondary industry. Third, develop the tertiary industry vigorously, and explore the potential absorption capacity of tertiary industry in the employment of migrant workers.Meanwhile,supported measures including deepening the reform of household registration system, strengthening vocational and technical training of migrant workers and improving the public service system are also necessary.
