The intersection of existential disciplines is a major trend of the development of modern science technologies and contributes to the current scientific progress, major breakthrough of the scientific research and the generation of high and new technologies greatly due to its revolutionary influence. Moreover, the interdisciplinarity plays a more and more significant role in development of science and technologies. Thus, it becomes the first priority thing how to find the rules of interdisciplinarity and the disciplines that crossing with others.This paper will analyze intedisciplinarity between management science and other natural sciences in Natural Science Foundation of China based on the granted proposals, by using methods of knowledge system engineering and text mining. The main work of this paper contains the following three points:(1) Similarity calculation algorithm of granted proposals based on semantics. According to characteristics of technology terms, semantic relationship between the terms can be calculated by network structure model of scientific research project texts. Then, similarity calculation algorithm based on this semantic relationship will be proposed. Also, the verification of this algorithm in practical application is given. This algorithm is the foundation and prerequisite of interdisciplinarity analysis, which will affect the result of the analysis.(2) Analysis of Interdisciplinarity. The interdisciplinarity between management science and other natural disciplines will be analyzed from three aspects, the macroscopic, medium, and microcosmic. The interdisciplinarity will be found by the index of interdisciplinarity degree, and then this degree will be expanded to identify the crossing field. Also, the characteristics of inter-disciplinary will be analyzed through three variables, traceability, simultaneity and propagation.(3) Implementation of visualization system and policy suggestions. This system is mainly divided into three modules:text feature selection, text similarity calculation and analysis of proposals and knowledge mining, which implement algorithm and application at different stages of interdisciplinarity analysis. At last, policy suggestions will be given according the analysis of interdisciplinary reasons.The results will show that the interdisciplinarity is a widespread phenomenon, and the crossing characteristics will be different across different subjects. Also, time lag exists in the crossing between disciplines. This research can be helpful to national natural science foundation of project approval and disciplinary development direction find of scientists.
