Analysis Of Coal Price-Electricity Price Adjustment Based On CGE Model

In recent years, coal price rose rapidly, which brought a sharp cost increase of thermal power plants in China. Meanwhile, thermoelectricity on-grid price and retail price was not adjusted accordingly, a large number of thermal power plants made a loss. The power supply and socio-economic development was hampered to certain extent. So, China should establish a more scientific electricity pricing mechanism, adjust electricity price moderately to make up for its cost increasement. This paper analyzes the influence of coal price adjustment on the cost of electric power industry and the influence of electricity price adjustment on macro economy. Based on the analysis results, this paper put forward an adjusting mechanism which can fully consider the reality of China's power market at present.
