With the gradual deepening of the power system reform, China's power supply and demand have undergone great changes. Optimize the distribution of thermal power unit load and optimize power generation scheduling is important to realize energy saving development and significant to energy-saving. Firstly, this article studied the monitoring methods of coal-powered thermal power-line and analyzed the data acquisition of coal characteristics, then briefly introduced the principle of coal consumption curve fitting and fitting tools, and compared the fitting methods; Secondly, this article summarized the algorithms of optimal load distribution and analyzed the major advantages and disadvantages of the algorithms and given the application model which used equal incremental method and dynamic programming method in optimal load distribution; Finally, put the rough set theory into the generation energy-efficient scheduling optimization and evaluated the thermal power units comprehensively combined with examples and determined the order of unit operation.
