Analysis On The Openness Of China's Financial Services Trade

Abstract/Summary:
Based on the definition of financial services trade, this paper reviewed the liberalization process of financial services trade in China. The liberalization process shows the trajectory of gradual liberalization policy which China have been implementing in the past 30 years, also shows that China accelerated the liberalization of financial services trade before and after joining the WTO intentionally. Then, the third part estimate the openness of liberalization of financial services trade in China, and Concluded that despite came through a rapid opening up process, until the end of transition period, the openness liberalization of financial services trade in China was still in a relatively low degree. Then, the next part of this paper analyzed the inevitability of financial services trade liberalization. The analysis shows that liberalization of financial services trade is an inevitable part of economic globalization. On the side, the analysis of possible negative impact of liberalization point that, in the process of liberalization China should also pay attention to risk prevention.On the base of theoretical analysis and our reality, the paper start to study on the path choice of China's financial services trade liberalization. In this section, we come to a conclusion from the financial services trade liberalization experience of three nations. Less advanced countries should promote the liberalization of trade in financial services by steps; To establish a strict regulatory system and to take measures to enhance the competitiveness of domestic financial systems are necessary; Finally, on the basis of these analysis the paper suggests the path of the financial services trade liberalization of our country:the implementation of appropriate protection, gradually and moderately open, enhancing the competitiveness of China's financial services industry and improving the regulatory system.
