A Research On Dependence On Foreign Trade Of Yangtze River Delta Of China

The subprime lending crisis has caused a serious impact on the economy of Yangtze River Delta. It leads to export decline and becomes to a challenge to the sustainable development. The international financial risis seems the direct cause of the problem, however, the real reason is the serious structural problems in the economy.The dependence on foreign trade is an important indicator which can reflect the level of opening up and the dependence on foreign countries. The paper studies the structure of the dependence on foreign trade to find the structural problems of Yangtze River Delta.The increase of the dependence on foreign trade of Yangtze River Delta contains huge risk and the risk comes from the economic structure. The paper collects 30 years economic data to describe the development course of the dependence on foreign trade of Yangtze River Delta and to analyze the structure of the dependence on foreign trade. On the base of the relationship of the dependence on foreign trade and the economic structure, the paper give the explanation to the economic structure and analyze the influence on the economic development of the Yangtze River Delta. At last, the paper gives recommendations to current problems and forecasts that the dependence on foreign trade of Yangtze River Delta will increase in short term and finally will reduce to a lower level.
