A country's industrialization process is the process of change in a country's industrial structure. Whether in the field of economic development theory or practice of economic development from the national perspective, the structural problems of economic development and industrialization process has a significant impact. Since the reform and opening up, China's industrial structure has changed enormously, but there are still many problems. The rapid development in the global economy and the situation of changing environment, how to make the best use to grasp the direction of development of industrial structure, accelerate and promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure, is placed in front of our country an important means to cope with short-term crises, but also the process of China's long-term development and achieve economic development mode shift in strategic choice.This paper sorted out and made a more comprehensive study of the problems of China's industrial structure since reform and opening-up, pointed the problems it's facing, made theoretical judgments in which industrialization stage China is currently, analyzed the contributions of the three types of industries to economic growth, and compared to the efficiency of investment in three industries. Through comprehensive analysis, given a few of the more important practical policy recommendations, namely, the development of independent innovation as the fundamental driving force of industrial structure, focusing on industrial upgrading and coordinated with the resources and the environment, with due emphasis on labor-intensive enterprise development, both short and long term interests. In addition, on the industrial development process, whether to continue walking the road of heavy industries, as well as the relations with employment are very important.
