Research On The Development Direction Of Industrial Structure In The Pearl River Delta Region

Since the reform and opening up,the Pearl River Delta region has achieved rapid development in the past 40 years,which is relying on its geographical advantages,cheap human resources costs and loose policy environment.However,since the profound changes of the international and domestic economic environment,the extensive development pattern of the Pearl River Delta region is unable to satisfy the needs of regional development.In recent years,although the Pearl River Delta region has successively put forward the strategy of "Vacating cage to change birds" and the double transfer of industry labor-force,the industrial structure has transfer a lot,but the industrial upgrading has not yet been realized.A reasonable industrial structure and division of labor will bring economies of scale and agglomeration,thus enhancing the driving force of economic development.At different stages of industrialization,the appropriate industrial structure is also different.Firstly,this paper demonstrates that the Pearl River Delta is in the stage of post-industrial society through data analysis.Some indexes have the characteristics of post-industrialization stage.Secondly,through various methods,it is pointed out that the Pearl River Delta industrial structure has been continuously optimized in recent years,the rationalization and upgrading of industrial structure have been continuously promoted,the phenomenon of industrial structure isomorphism exists among cities,and the isomorphism of industrial structure in some cities is undesirable,which hinders economic development.The development of some technology-intensive and knowledge-intensive manufacturing industries within the manufacturing industry is still lagging behind,while the development of low-tech labor-intensive industries such as timber is still ahead of schedule.The service industry is facing the problems that the development of transportation,storage and postal services is lagging behind and the proportion of service industry is still not high enough.According to the industrialization stage of the Pearl River Delta and the problems existing in the current industrial structure,this paper proposes the path to be followed in optimizing the industrial structure of the Pearl River Delta in the emerging stage: to combine the current industrial structure of the cities in the Pearl River Delta,to optimize the industrial layout structure of the cities horizontally,to deepen the in-depth cooperation among industries vertically,to concentrate on the development of a number of advanced manufacturing industries,to speed up the transformation and upgrading of traditional manufacturing industries,to adopt differentiated policies for the development of producer services,to construct a pattern of producer services with reasonable division of labor and complementary advantages,to form a pattern of industrial development with staggered development and complementary functions,and to improve the non-desirable phenomenon of convergence of industrial structures;To build a modern comprehensive transportation system.To further strengthen the core cities of Guangzhou and Shenzhen as comprehensive international shipping services,to further speed up the construction of the inter-city rapid transportation network with high-speed railway,inter-city railway and high-grade highway as the main body,and to build an efficient,convenient and three-dimensional transportation system.
