Research On Supply Chain Coordination Strategy Based On Quantity Discounts Under Asymmetric Information

As the quick transition of the competition environment, such as:integration of world economy and demand diversification, emerges, single enterprise can no longer effectively and quickly meet the needs of customers, and then enterprises in the upper and down streams set up the supply chain to respond to the competition. It has been a valuable research topic on how to coordinate the relationship between the members of supply chain and attain win-win situation. As a main mechanism of coordinating supply chain, contract mechanism has been a very important field. On the basis of research done by the predecessors, we consider the problem of supply chain coordination of quantity discount in the asymmetric information situation. It reads as follows.First, we present an all-units quantity discount model and an incremental quantity discount model when the retailer has full demand information but the supplier does not. Then we compare the two forms in their save on expect cost and the effectiveness of supply chain coordination. At last we draw the conclusion that incremental quantity discount does better in larger demand uncertainty case.Then, we analyze the all-units quantity discount when there is asymmetric demand information and inventory cost information simultaneously. Under the premise of limited production rate, first we analyze the symmetric information case, and then we present an all-units quantity discount model when there is asymmetric demand information and inventory cost information simultaneously. At last, we present the supply chain strategy in the two cases.
