Strategy was first from the military, which is a way of thinking about the development of things from the overall situation and long-term perspective. Patent strategy has attracted great attention of enterprises, through the implementation of which enterprises can see opportunities through environmental change, avoid threats, shape their own competitive advantage, solve their own competitive disadvantage and eventually form their own strong competitiveness in order to reap the greatest interests from the competition in the market.The 21st century is the era of knowledge-led economy, whose development is increasingly dependent on science and technology level. Companies who want to win in the fierce competition must develop its own core technologies and enhance their core competitiveness. Today, an enterprise's technical strength being strong or not directly impacts on the development of them, and an enterprise's ability to use intellectual property strategy directly determines the enterprise's overall competitiveness. The patent is an important part of intellectual property, and patent strategy is one of the important strategies that can improve the enterprise's core competitiveness, and it has become the only way and the fundamental choice if the enterprise wants to improve their comprehensive strength.With the technological competition getting more intense, companies of every country are rushing into the study on the formulation and implementation of patent strategy. As China's patent system is still immature compared to developed countries, the enterprise's patent strategy awareness is still weak, and our enterprises are lack of systematic guidance of method and theory, particularly in the formulation of the patent strategy.This paper firstly studies the patent analysis and SWOT analysis, recognizing that despite the wide use of patent analysis and the SWOT method in reality, there are a number of inadequacies, which has seriously affected the validity of corporate patent strategy. And then, on the basis of the above research, a new method of model is proposed, in which patent analysis and SWOT analysis are integrated together and applied to the formulation of corporate patent strategies, which improves the shortcomings of the usage of traditional methods, so as to offer support and help to companies with developing patent strategy more effectively.Midea Group, as one of China's famous home appliances business enterprises, has made great development this year. In particular, Midea microwave has been developing more rapidly, and the Midea Group has become the leader in China's microwave oven industry. Therefore, in this article the firm's business situation and status of implementation of patent strategy are investigated, and finally analysis of the model is carried out with empirical way around the success of Midea microwave oven patent strategy.
