A Thorough Research Of Chengdu Tourism Development On Wide And Narrow Pseudo-classic Lane

Wide lane and narrow lane are originally ancient lanes of Chengdu, after rebuilding and improving recently, they have become the new pseudo-classic lane. Among various cases of modern culture industry in China, pseudo-classic lane is no doubt one of the most important modern way of industrial transformation and commercial operation of cultural resources.Ancient architecture and lanes that used to attract tourists the most are unavoidably disappeared with urban development. In order to keep the historical memories and carry on the urban history, pseudo-classic lane is therefore developed. It has significant effect in satisfying people's leisure life and tourism in modern society, and becomes an important part of urban tourism resources. Therefore, in order to alive the historical memories of wide and narrow lane, according to Chengdu local government's unified guidance and coordination, Culture Tourism Organization invests approximately 600 million to develop'Urban Meeting Room'that leads Chengdu's delicate life. This project includes three ancient streets like wide lane, narrow lane and well lane, as well as the surrounding courtyard. The total planning control area is 479 mu, and the central protection zone is 108 mu. Based on protecting the original architecture of ancient Chengdu, a combination of cultural and commercial street is taking shape in newly developed wide and narrow lane, which has clear local characteristic and rich cultural atmosphere, and relies mainly on tourism and leisure life.This article is a thorough research of Chengdu tourism development on wide and narrow pseudo-classic lane. Hope it inspire any developed, developing or going to be developed pseudo-classic lane. It is divided into five parts:Part one is the introduction of the article. It summarizes the meaning of the project topic, the current research situation and trend both at home and abroad. It also mentions about the innovation theory of this article.Part two introduces a few basic theories and concepts regarding the pseudo-classic lane, including concepts for urban design theory, heritage tourism theory, continuous development theory, historical protection zone and historical lanes, as well as the definition of pseudo-classic lane. And suggests the significance of developing pseudo-classic lane in tourism industry.Part three wide and narrow lane as examples to analyse the advantage and disadvantage, opportunity and threat of pseudo-classic lane.Part four is the essence of the article. It is the thought of the author about Chengdu wide and narrow pseudo-classic lane's tourism development, and the comparison study of Chengdu pseudo-classic lane such as Jin Li and Wen Shu Fang. The meaning of analysing wide and narrow lane is to reflect the whole from the part and fan out from point to area. As wide and narrow lane has its own limitation, by comparing it with other similar pseudo-classic lane, the main point of this project is to find out the problems need to be solved during pseudo-classic lane development and brand establishment.At last is the conclusion of this article.
