| As the world economy integration mends its pace and the economy society develops quickly, the engine effect of the city that in the country and area is becoming more and more important. In the environment of competitive, different cities has different competence of attracting capital, skill, human resources and information, which brings different meanings to the development and orientation of cities. So, evaluate the city competitiveness correctly can help us know the situation of cities and carry out suitable strategy to enhance the city competitiveness and position. The study on the theory and methods of city competitiveness has great meaning on the day of formation of regional blocs which provides us a thought of developing the cities and its international competitiveness.This paper can be divided into two parts which are theory study and demonstration study. The first three chapters are theory study while the last two are demonstration study. The first chapter introduces the study background, study purpose and the actuality of the study both home and abroad. The second chapter recites the origin and theoretical background of city competitiveness, and then gives the conception of city competitiveness. The third chapter is the establishment of evaluation index system and evaluating methods. The paper set up the index system on the basic of the firs two chapters. In the forth chapter, it evaluates the city competitiveness of Zhengzhou. The paper chooses 6 capital cities locate at the middle part of China to form the example together with Shijiazhuang and Xi'an. And then, the paper analyzes the competitiveness of Zhengzhou through which gives the orientation and the superiority and weakness of it. The fifth chapter is the suggesting part. The paper analyzes the reason to the competitiveness actuality of Zhengzhou and works out the suggestions to enhance the competitiveness of it in accordance with the result of the evaluation and the status of Zhengzhou. |
