Along with the fast development of Chinese economy, the small-and-medium enterprises have become increasingly important in the national economy. New employees are the new force in the small-and-medium enterprises, and the ability and knowledge of them are the important elements of future core competence of the enterprises. Good adaptation, not only helpful for good career development of new employees, but also beneficial to exert the value of human resources, and improve performance of enterprise. But, in the early stage, new employees do not adapt to the work environment and work contents in different levels, such as low job performance, slow role change, and even the tendency of turnover. The early stage of their adaptation to work is the important stage of their career development, which is also an unignorable step of the human resource management; therefore, it is of great significance to improve the adaptation level of the new employees in the small-and-medium enterprises. This paper studies at new employees of the small-and-medium enterprises, and starts on the research of their work adaptation management.This paper uses such methods as literature analysis, questionnaire investigation, statistics analysis and empirical research. The parts of this research are as follows: First, this paper elaborates the concept and connotation of the small-and-medium enterprises and work adaptation and the related theories .Focuses on the related theory of work adaptation, including work adjustment theory, organizational socialization theory, self-efficacy theory, it lays a solid foundation for the following research. Second, it designs the questionnaire according to the specific content of the work adaptation and the influencing factors for analyzing the work adaptation of the new employees in the small-and-medium enterprises. Task master, role behavior, interpersonal relations and cultural adaptation are used as the content of work adaptation, while organizational socialization tactics, proactive behavior and self-efficacy of new employees are influencing factors. With the result of the questionnaire, the paper uses SPSS 17.0 statistical analysis software for data processing, and major in the reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, single factor analysis of variance and correlation analysis, for understanding the work adaptation of the new employees in the small-and-medium enterprises, and finding the relation between the specific content of work adaptation and the influencing factors. Third, the paper constructs leading and management system of new employees in the small-and-medium enterprises for their work adaptation. The system include requirement analysis of leading, program design of leading, program implement of leading and management, effect of leading and the continuous improvement. Four, it makes a verifying research on the work adaptation management of new employees of C company. It analysis the problems in the process that new employees adapt themselves to the work and the defects in the management through the questionnaire and interviews, then presents some improvement measures to help new employees adapt to their work.
