A Study On Enterprise Technology Innovation Based On Production Field

This dissertation mainly studied the supporting function of production field to technology innovation taking Chinese automobile industry as the example. Field Management and Technology Innovation Management are introduced in brief respectively as the theoretic foundation for this dissertation. In the entire research process, three research techniques have been mainly used, including the methods of theoretical analysis, comparative analysis and case analysis.At first, the gap of technological innovation level of the automobile industry between China and the world was revealed, and the course of Chinese automobile industry technology development was reviewed. The experience of automobile industry technology innovation of Later Modern Countries such as Japan and Korea were learned to explore a right course of Chinese automobile industry technology innovation. Field Management method was used to enhance automobile industry technology innovation of Japan and Korea, so we can get profound inspiration from them. This dissertation deeply analyzed the supporting function of production field to technology innovation, therefore presented the concept of field technological capability. The development of field technological capability will improve technoloy innovation leve, and it is dynamic and procedual. The evolution process of field technological capability is divided into eight phrases, the aim and operating methods of each phrase is determined separately, and the maturing process of technology and organization of field technicians is reflected. As a result, a model of field technological capability evolution process is built to guide technology innovation of Chinese automobile industry. The effectiveness of the model was verified in this dissertation by analyzing the the course of TOYOTA technology development from the view of the evolution process of field technological capability. At last, the field technological capability evolution process model was applied to point out the evolution phrase of CHERY, and some countermeasures were suggested.The field technological capability evolution process model can guide each Chinese enterprise to promote the level of technology innovation by correctly recognizing its evolution phrase, setting up the developing target and adopting effective operating methods.
