Risk Management of Automotive Instrument Panel Program is a new field. Like risk management of Civil Engineering Program, it involve risk identification, risk analysis and evaluation, risk response and so on. This paper introduces the process of risk management in Automotive Instrument Panel Development Program on the basis of several international process standards of project risk management. Furthermore, this paper focuses on the possibility of exploring the method of risk identification and risk evaluation in Automotive Instrument Panel Development Program.To dig out potential risks is a principal thing of project risk management in a automotive instrument panel program. To identify project risks, the author describes the Delphi method based on analyzing the risk characteristics of automotive instrument panel program. Combined with four on-going Automotive Instrument Panel Programs with different customers and different quality request, the author designs program risk questionnaire, using Delphi method to find 25 pieces of potential risks and its related risk data.Risk Evaluation is a very important part of program risk management. The paper focuses on the quantitative risk analysis as well as some qualitative risk evaluation methods are introduced. And"Gray Associated Matrix"of"Gray theory"is described in Automotive Instrument Panel Program . Based on Delphi methods and the identified risks, the paper obtains the weight for each risk in the program using the Grey theory method. Furthermore, the program risk order can be achieved according to the risk weight, which is a fundamental element of risk monitoring and controlling.
