Simultaneously, economic development of hinterland supports a strong driving force for development. In recent years, China's coastal port has made tremendous achievements, and it is playing an increasingly important role in the opening to the outside world and China's economic development .Port s' level of development has been one of an important symbols to measure a country or regional level of economic development.This paper describes port and regional economic theory, and then introduces the interaction and impact between port and regional economy. And then from the positive and negative aspects to introduce the influence of Dalian port to the regional economic development, and introduce the influence of the regional economic development from four aspects to the port; Through the analysis of Dalian port and its hinterland of Northeastern Province, introduce Dalian Port and its economic hinterland, to choose the relevant analysis, linear regression and non-linear regression analysis on the combination to quantitatively analyze the ports and the hinterland of economic indicators. According to the statistics, apply specific software SPSS11.0 to analyze the relevance between port and its hinterland economic indicators firstly, arrive at the correlation between indicators. On this basis, then choose the important correlation coefficient of matrix to make an appropriate experience analysis, and finally select a high degree of correlation and causation obvious economic indicators of the hinterland and the port for further regression analysis, to arrive at a specific mathematical relationship. That is, the specific data of the relationship between ports and the hinterland. And then analyze the impact and value of the specific reasons between the two.
