Lean Production System appeared in 1980s rooted in Toyota production system, which substance is to eliminate all kinds of waste and to create the value. It's the organic combination of correct management concept, Japanese industry engineering and people-oriented enterprise culture. It's also the fruit of the combination of American industry engineering and the enterprise practice. It changes the mass-production used in almost a hundred years, reduces the resource consumption , improves the production efficiency and ensure the quality. To develop this lean production system is the exigent need of the sustainable development for our society.From the very beginning 1997, Shanghai General Motor Company Ltd. established and it integrated with the Chinese situation and practice experience, learned from the overseas advanced management method and concept. And after the more than ten years exploration, combination and development, a particular lean production management mode has come into being. This thesis supported by the Shandong Daewoo engine company merge program and guided by the lean production system and the principle of SGM lean production system, tried to find the right way to establish the lean production system which appropriated to the actual situation of this merged company. Through practice and exploration, considering the human resource integrating and culture combination, we establish the lean production system on two sides: the establishment of method and facility technology system so as the continuous improvement to eliminate waste and the long-term People-oriented enterprise culture, which helped to achieve the anticipated effect of this merge and restructure, pushed the achievement of SGM low-cost and convention-exceeded outstretched strategy profitably, did the helpful attempt to the trans-regional merge and restructure of Chinese enterprises and create the precious experience.Firstly, this thesis developed the whole concept of the lean production system in merged enterprise, viz. the establishment of lean production system based on human resource integrating and culture combination.And then integrated the exploration and practice during the research process into concrete study of the establishment of lean production system, the system-actualize frame house was brought forward and the waste chain in production process was emphasized to analyze. Based on this, the two stanchions of this house which were JIT and Automation was expounded in detail and which established the technical system of the lean production method and facility.Finally, the concept basis to ensure the achievement of this system was analyzed and expounded which were the drive force-continuous improvement, basis-employees and companies, guarantee-system and processes and guidance-long term management concept. Moreover, several viewpoints about how to ensure the implement of lean production system was summarized.
