Judging from the teaching mission of economics, value theory is the foundation and one of focus and difficulties of political economics. Labor value theory is the foundation of Marxist economics and political economics in China. Although we had learnt Marx's theory of labor value in the middle school, and the economics major students will learn the history of economics and the price theory of micro-economics, there are significant divergence in the contents and analysis methods and the conclusion. Therefore, some students incline to get the conclusion that some theory is better than another, even some students who learn not very good take the value theory of western economics to deny the Marx's theory of labor value, it is not contribute to the academic precision and the training of students.There are two reasons for such problems: first, value theory has many schools itself, abstract contents and long time controversy, it is inevitable for students to meet difficulties in understanding. Second, the teacher usually lectures step by step, and less comparative teaching in the economics teaching. For the value theory which is complex and abstract, the teaching effect always is not better. Thus, it is necessary to introduce comparative teaching into the teaching of value theory. By the comparative teaching of value theory, the teacher can teach comparative method to broaden the students'horizons and improve logical thinking ability. It is also helpful to strength the comprehension of the Marx's theory of labor value and socialist market economic construction in China.This paper divide into such parts: the first part is introduction which including background of selected topic, meaning of research, correlation study in home and abroad and research methods. The second part includes the definition and methods of comparative teaching, basic research category of value theory and the necessity of comparative teaching of value theory. The third part is the research emphasis which includes the vertical and transverse comparative teaching of value theory. Taking the time as major clue,"vertical"make comparative teaching between Marx's theory of labor value and value theory of some representative economists in the period of mercantilism, physiocratism, classical political economics, philistinism political economics and neoclassicism, and introduce the nationality, masterpiece and classification of value theory which is helpful for the students to comprehend the evolution of value theory."transverse"mainly make comparative teaching among labor value theory, the value theory on essential factors of production, the value theory on marginal utility, the value theory on equilibrium, respectively in study premises, logical starting point, basic contents, conclusion and effect, it pay attention to the similarities and differences of the value theories, and try to reveal the different characteristics of value theory from multilevel and multi-dimension.Making transverse comparative teaching of value theory on the basis of vertical comparative teaching, it is helpful for the students to master the basic contents and viewpoints of value theory, understand the evolution and development of modern western economics in the value theory, treat the relation between western economics and Marx's theory of labor value combing with the economic practicality in China.
